Lobular Anatomies

Lobular Anatomies (2024)
Created at the European Ceramic Workcentre, Netherlands
Slip-cast ceramic stoneware, cast in textile mold
Variable dimensions

Biological bodies and their organs, whether botanical or zoological, may be subdivided into lobes. These mineralized landscape-bodies explore lobular anatomical structures and the potential of their internal voids and orifices for nonhuman inhabitation.

The creation of this work was made possible thanks to the financial support of the European Ceramic Workcentre, Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and Canada Council for the Arts.
